About Us

Meet Desere Baker, M.S.Ed.

As her passion for the special education field grew, the desire to be a catalyst for change continued, and Desere earned her second Master's Degree at The University of Rochester in Educational Leadership. It is there that she began learning about equity in education and continued to fuel her zest for systematic change. For the past few years Desere has focused on educational leadership. In most years Desere has worked as a special education and alternative education principal for both agencies and cooperative education programs in WNY. Desere’s work also includes volunteering as a consultant for both a head start program and vocational school to help support the staff and students further understand how to support the needs of all their students.

Passions and Goals:

Desere is the mom to 5 amazing children, including foster, adoptive and biological. Two of Desere’s children have significant disabilities which has fueled her drive to advocacy work even further.
